The fragrance
An iconic melody that begins with sparkling, sunny notes of primofiore lemon oil that combine with the tropical accents of pineapple and mango accord. The olfactive sound of peony in the heart reveals its romantic soul in an unexpected and intense combination with sandalwood and rum absolute. A deep, enveloping song of vanilla rises in the background with an elegant jazz of labdanum, operanide and ambroxan. The sun hits Copacabana beach and the energy of carioca nightlife meets the dawn. In the warm atmospheres of the Beco das garrafas clubs, a new rhythm is born. It is the summer of 1958 when the Odeon label records ‘Chega de saudade’ on 78 rpm vinyl, in which ‘saudade’ becomes a messenger of love and is the beginning of the Bossa Nova. The vibrancy of the samba joins the elegant rhythm of North American jazz to become the iconography of a lifestyle in which joy and energy merge with nostalgia and romanticism. “Garota de Ipanema” proclaims Bossa Nova to be a musical genre and the identity of a people.
